Temporary traffic arrangements for the rail services between Turku and Helsinki starting from 15 August 2022
From 15 August 2022, the end stop of the Helsinki–Turku–Helsinki train will be in Kupittaa.
Exceptional traffic arrangements are part of the Kupittaa–Turku railway project, which develops Turku's passenger and freight yards and builds a double track between Kupittaa and Turku railway station.
From the Turku Railway Station to Kupittaa station
Buslines 32 and 42 depart from Ratapihankankatu in front of the railway station. The number of the bus stop is 144. Travel time is approximately 20 minutes. You can buy a single ticket with contactless payment, on your mobile device with the Föli app or in cash from the driver.
The Kupittaa station stop is located in the immediate vicinity of the station parking area.
When arriving at the Kupittaa station, passengers in Föli transportation disembark at the Kupittaa station stop, which is located in the immediate vicinity of the station parking area. Buses 32, 42, 53 and 53A will take you from Kupittaa to Turku city centre.
The alternative route between Turku harbour and Kupittaa station
The alternative bus route to the Port of Turku starts next to the Kupittaa station from Joukahaisenkatu. A train ticket that is valid up to the port can be used as a bus ticket.
For those travelling to Helsinki from the Port of Turku, the rail connection between Turku harbour and Kupittaa station is operated through a bus route. Buses leave for Kupittaa from platform 7.
From the Turku Airport to Kupittaa Station
Bus line 1 operates between the airport and the Turku city centre. The stop for line 1 is located on Linnankatu at the centre. The number of the bus stop in Linnankatu is T89.
Bus 32 departs from the stop of Aurakatu to Kupittaa station. The number of the bus stop in Aurakatu is T4. The distance between the stops of Linnankatu and Aurakatu is about 100 meters.
