Canals on Lake Saimaa's deep-water channels are Saimaa Canal, Taipale Canal and Konnus Canal.

The opening of the traffic season of the deep channel canals will be announced later.

During the high season, the deep-sea canals are available around the clock.

 

Kyrönsalmi bridges

The Kyrönsalmi bridges (road and railway bridges) will not be opened for water traffic.

Vihtakanta bridge

The bridge is only opened on request from Taipale Canal tel. +358 (0)29 534 4156.
Traffic season extended in accordance with the Saimaa deep-water channel. Available 24 hours a day.

Tikkalansaari railway bridge

The bridge is only opened remotely on request from Taipale Canal tel. +358 (0)29 534 4156.
Available 24 hours a day if ice and weather conditions permit.
Clearance is 5.2m / 12.0m.

Peltosalmi Bridge

From Monday to Friday, the bridge will not be opened for leisure crafts from 6.30 to 8.30 and from 15: 00 to 17: 00. The opening of the bridge must be booked by telephone. 

The bridge will also be opened for professional traffic outside the Iisalmi route’s opening hours.  The opening of the bridge must be booked in advance the day before at 7.00–16.00.

Lillholmen Bridge

The bridge will be opened for water traffic if ice and weather conditions permit:

1.4.–31.10. from 7:00 a.m. to 24.00
1.11.-31.12 from 8:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m

If necessary, the bridge will be opened every hour and a half an hour, the opening must be ordered 5 minutes before the opening time.

Bridge will be opened for sea traffic 3.5.2024. 
The bridge will be opened Mon-Sun 7.30–23.00.
The bridge is opened daily every half hour, on the hour and 30 minutes past the hour.
