Accessibility statement, Digital fairway card

The Finnish Transport Infrastructure Agency aims to ensure the accessibility of its website in accordance with the Act on the Provision of Digital Services 306/2019 (in Finnish).

This accessibility statement applies to the Digital fairway card on the Vayla.fi website.

State of accessibility

The Digital fairway card of the Vayla.fi website partially meets the requirements of Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1 Level AA. Non-compliance and exceptions to the requirements are listed below.

Non-accessible content

The following content is non-accessible for the following reasons:
The following content is non-accessible under the Act on the Provision of Digital Services (306/2019):

Map:

•    The map is not accessible (WCAG 2.1., 4.1.2) 
o    The map cannot be browsed or navigated with the keyboard
o    The elements displayed on the map cannot be selected with the keyboard
•    It is not possible to use the “reset default orientation” button with the keyboard (WCAG 2.1.1)

Fairway areas:

•    Improving the grouping of texts (availability)
o    VoiceOver reads some of the texts as fragments and not as whole sentences (see e.g.

“Speed limits” where “Speed limit in Smögrund - Keitsor: 28 km/h” is read so that 28 km/h is a separate piece of text.

Malfunctions of aids to navigation:

•    Removing an unnecessary link from text content and better link direction (availability)
o    When using the keyboard to move around, headings are links that do not direct the user to the right place
