The new Baltice.org web service will be introduced on 17 June 2015. The web service aims at offering updated and reliable information about winter navigation and ice conditions. The Baltice.org service combines information from different authorities and the data is visualised to the users using a chart interface. Text versions of the service content are also available. The new service has been planned for different terminal devices. The service can be found at www.baltice.org. It is free of charge and open to all. The language of the service is English.

The service, among other things, includes updated information about the ice situation, traffic restrictions in ports, icebreaker positions and assistance situations. The content of the service will be updated at the beginning of next winter navigation season. The ice chart material and assistance situation presented in the now launched service are examples from January 2015.
