Method of drawing up the report
FTIA's management group selected the UN Sustainable Development Goals and targets to be examined, on which basis the report was drawn up by an expert group in which the different FTIA sectors and functions were represented. The Sustainability Report produced as a result was approved by FTIA's management group.
The process of drawing up the Sustainability Report hasbeen developed further, and corporate social responsibility is an increasingly closeknit and natural part of the activities. Among other things, corporate social responsibility is reflected in the new strategy of the Finnish Transport Infrastructure Agency updated in 2023 and in the performance agreement for 2024–2027.
The compilation of the Sustainability Report was coordinated by the operative planning and management system department of the Operations Management division. A larger share of the personnel from all sectors of the agency was engaged in the preparation of the Sustainability Report for 2023 than before.
The sustainability goals and indicators for 2024 were already defined in autumn 2023. This helped to link the goals more effectively to operational planning, which will improve the monitoring of and reporting on their achievement.
The Finnish Transport Infrastructure Agency will continue to develop its corporate social responsibility work and participate in the responsibility networks of the State Treasury and the Ministry of Transport and Communications, among others.
